Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Information

At St Mary's Church of England (Voluntary Aided) Primary School, we value each individual child and endeavour to help all children to fulfil their potential. We are very proud of the inclusive nature of our school and aim to cater for each individual, taking particular account of any specific needs or abilities.

We value the individuality of all the children in our school community; we actively seek to remove the barriers to learning and participation that can hinder or exclude individual pupils, or groups of pupils.

St Mary's Church of England (Voluntary Aided) Primary School endeavours to meet the needs of children with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability).  Where applicable, children receive additional support from staff within the school. Parents are informed if their child’s progress is a matter of concern and have opportunities to be involved at all stages.

The SEN information specified in Schedule 1 of the Special Educational Needs and Disability Regulations 2014 can be accessed here: https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2014/1530/part/1
